Zinc prices fell 0.47% on Tuesday to Rs 283.60 per kg in the futures market due to reduced speculator exposure and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Dec 17 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.47 per cent to Rs 283.60 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded Rs 1.35 or 0.47 per cent lower at Rs 283.60 per kg in 896 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
