Zinc prices fell 0.17% on Monday to Rs 261.90 per kg due to weak demand and speculators reducing their exposure, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.17 per cent to Rs 261.90 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded 45 paise or 0.17 per cent lower at Rs 261.90 per kg in 3,968 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
