Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand - PTI
Zinc prices fell 0.35% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced speculation and weak demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Feb 25 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.35 per cent to Rs 269.05 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded 95 paise or 0.35 per cent lower at Rs 269.05 per kg in 2,224 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
