Zinc prices fell 0.31% on Tuesday due to reduced speculator exposure and weak demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Jan 9 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.31 per cent to Rs 224.20 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded lower by 70 paise or 0.31 per cent at Rs 224.20 per kg in 2,773 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
