Zinc prices fell 0.64% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced demand from consuming industries and speculation.
New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.64 per cent to Rs 226.65 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded lower by Rs 1.45 or 0.64 per cent at Rs 226.65 per kg in 3,342 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
