Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand
By Rediff Money Desk, New Delhi Sep 25, 2024 14:41
Zinc prices fell in futures trading on Wednesday due to reduced speculative interest and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Sep 25 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday marginally fell to Rs 274.90 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded 10 paise or 0.04 per cent lower at Rs 274.90 per kg in 2,703 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
