Zinc futures prices fell 1.16% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced speculator exposure and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Feb 20 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 1.16 per cent to Rs 213.25 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded lower by Rs 2.50 or 1.16 per cent at Rs 213.25 per kg in 2,652 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
