Zinc Futures Drop on Weak Demand - PTI

Zinc prices fell 0.74% on Thursday due to weak demand from consuming industries. Speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
New Delhi, Jun 13 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.74 per cent to Rs 255.85 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded Rs 1.90 or 0.74 per cent lower at Rs 255.85 per kg in 1,372 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
