Zinc prices fell 0.47% on Tuesday due to reduced speculation and weak demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Jul 16 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.47 per cent to Rs 272.80 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded Rs 1.30 or 0.47 per cent lower at Rs 272.80 per kg in 2,288 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
