Zinc futures prices declined by 1.28% on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by reduced speculative activity and muted demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Aug 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 1.28 per cent to Rs 250.90 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded Rs 3.25 or 1.28 per cent lower at Rs 250.90 per kg in 2,134 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
