Zinc futures fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced demand from consuming industries and speculation. Prices dropped to Rs 232.80 per kg.
New Delhi, Jan 2 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell by 0.15 per cent to Rs 232.80 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded lower by 35 paise or 0.15 per cent at Rs 232.80 per kg in 5,152 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
