Zinc prices fell 0.68% on Friday to Rs 213.15 per kg in futures trade, driven by reduced speculation and weak demand in the spot market.
New Delhi, Mar 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.68 per cent to Rs 213.15 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded lower Rs 1.45 or 1.49 per cent at Rs 213.15 per kg in 4,758 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
