Zinc prices declined on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to muted demand from consuming industries. Speculators reduced their exposure, leading to a 0.21% drop in futures.
New Delhi, Jun 24 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.21 per cent to Rs 256.95 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded 55 paise or 0.21 per cent lower at Rs 256.95 per kg in 2,149 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
