By Rediff Money Desk, New Delhi Jul 01, 2024 14:08
Zinc prices declined in futures trade on Monday, influenced by muted demand in the physical market and position trimming by speculators.
New Delhi, Jul 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.68 per cent to Rs 263.55 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded Rs 1.80 or 0.68 per cent lower at Rs 263.55 per kg in 2,755 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
