Zinc prices declined on Wednesday due to reduced demand from consuming industries, according to the Press Trust of India. Speculators reduced their exposure, leading to a 0.33% drop in futures prices.
New Delhi, Jan 3 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell by 0.33 per cent to Rs 229.80 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded lower by 75 paise or 0.33 per cent at Rs 229.80 per kg in 4,770 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
