New Delhi, May 17 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 25 paise to Rs 261.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher 25 paise or 0.1 per cent at Rs 261.50 per kg with a business turnover of 2,757 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
