Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand | Commodity News
Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. The rise in prices was also supported by widening of positions by participants.
New Delhi, Oct 31 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.50 to Rs 288.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for November delivery traded higher by Rs 1.50 or 0.52 per cent at Rs 288.50 per kg with a business turnover of 2,706 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
