Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand | Commodity News
Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand from consuming industries. March contracts traded higher by Rs 3.15.
New Delhi, Feb 7 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 3.15 to Rs 274.45 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded higher by Rs 3.15 or 1.16 per cent at Rs 274.45 per kg with a business turnover of 444 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded higher by Rs 3.15 or 1.16 per cent at Rs 274.45 per kg with a business turnover of 444 lots.
