Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand | PTI

Zinc prices in India rose on Friday, driven by increased demand from consuming industries, with May contracts trading higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
New Delhi, May 24 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 40 paise to Rs 271.30 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher 40 paise or 0.15 per cent at Rs 271.30 per kg with a business turnover of 2,535 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
