Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI
Zinc prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose on Friday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The January contract traded higher by 0.23% at Rs 283.85 per kg.
New Delhi, Dec 27 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 65 paise to Rs 283.85 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 65 paise or 0.23 per cent at Rs 283.85 per kg with a business turnover of 3,024 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 65 paise or 0.23 per cent at Rs 283.85 per kg with a business turnover of 3,024 lots.
