Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI
Zinc prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange surged by Rs 1.75 per kg on Thursday due to increased demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Feb 20 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.75 to Rs 272.80 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded higher by Rs 1.75 or 0.65 per cent at Rs 272.80 per kg with a business turnover of 967 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
