Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices in India rose on Friday due to strong demand from consuming industries. The December contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange traded higher by Rs 1.55 per kg.
New Delhi, Dec 15 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 1.55 to Rs 223.30 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs 1.55 or 0.7 per cent at Rs 223.30 per kg with a business turnover of 3,490 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
