Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged 75 paise to Rs 224.20 per kg on Wednesday due to rising demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Jan 10 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose 75 paise to Rs 224.20 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 75 paise or 0.09 per cent at Rs 224.20 per kg with a business turnover of 2,558 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
