Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices in India rose on Tuesday due to increased spot demand. The rise was attributed to a pick-up in demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jan 16 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose 5 paise to Rs 225.65 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 5 paise or 0.02 per cent at Rs 225.65 per kg with a business turnover of 2,864 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
