Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose in futures trade on Thursday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The Multi Commodity Exchange saw zinc contracts for January delivery trade higher by Rs 1.65 or 0.73 per cent at Rs 226.95 per kg.
New Delhi, Jan 25 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.65 to Rs 226.95 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 1.65 or 0.73 per cent at Rs 226.95 per kg with a business turnover of 80 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
