Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to increased demand from consuming industries. November contracts closed at Rs 225.55 per kg, up 0.96%.
New Delhi, Nov 23 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 2.15 to Rs 225.55 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for November delivery traded higher by Rs 2.15 or 0.96 per cent at Rs 225.55 per kg with a business turnover of 1,233 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
