Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose on Wednesday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The May contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange traded higher at Rs 249.55 per kg.
New Delhi, Apr 24 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 2.50 to Rs 249.55 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher Rs 2.50 or 1.01 per cent at Rs 249.55 per kg with a business turnover of 3,075 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
