Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by increased demand from consuming industries. May delivery contracts closed higher at Rs 252.30 per kg.
New Delhi, Apr 25 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 4.70 to Rs 252.30 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher Rs 4.70 or 1.9 per cent at Rs 252.30 per kg with a business turnover of 3,837 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
