Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose in India's futures market on Monday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The Multi Commodity Exchange saw higher trading volumes in zinc contracts for May delivery.
New Delhi, May 13 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 1.20 to Rs 262.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher Rs 1.20 or 1.26 per cent at Rs 262.50 per kg with a business turnover of 3,810 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
