Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand

New Delhi, Oct 16 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 2.75 to Rs 284.35 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher by Rs 2.75 or 0.98 per cent at Rs 284.35 per kg with a business turnover of 2,379 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
