Zinc Futures Surge on Increased Demand
Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to higher demand from consuming industries. February contracts traded at Rs 270.85 per kg, up 0.63%.
New Delhi, Jan 9 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.70 to Rs 270.85 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs 1.70 or 0.63 per cent at Rs 270.85 per kg with a business turnover of 801 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
