Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand | PTI
Zinc prices climbed on Monday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The rise in spot demand pushed zinc futures higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
New Delhi, Sep 30 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 2.10 to Rs 283.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher Rs 2.10 or 0.75 per cent at Rs 283.40 per kg with a business turnover of 3,236 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
