Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand | PTI

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. December contracts traded higher at Rs 288.50 per kg.
New Delhi, Dec 5 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.10 to Rs 288.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs 1.10 or 0.38 per cent at Rs 288.50 per kg with a business turnover of 3,302 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
