Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. January contracts traded higher by 0.25% at Rs 279.50 per kg.
New Delhi, Dec 24 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose 70 paise to Rs 279.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 70 paise or 0.25 per cent at Rs 279.50 per kg with a business turnover of 2,718 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
