Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI
Zinc prices rose in India's futures market on Monday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The April contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange traded higher by 0.78%.
New Delhi, Mar 3 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday inched up Rs 2.10 to Rs 270.85 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded marginally higher by Rs 2.10 or 0.78 per cent at Rs 270.85 per kg with a business turnover of 100 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
