Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by increased demand from consuming industries. December contracts rose by Rs 1.65 to Rs 225.15 per kg.
New Delhi, Dec 22 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.65 to Rs 225.15 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs 1.65 or 0.74 per cent at Rs 225.15 per kg with a business turnover of 547 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
