Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Wednesday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The February contract traded higher at Rs 207.40 per kg.
New Delhi, Feb 14 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose 70 paise to Rs 207.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded higher 70 paise or 0.34 per cent at Rs 207.40 per kg with a business turnover of 4,733 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
