Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. Read more about the zinc futures market.
New Delhi, Sep 13 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 80 paise to Rs 266.30 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher 80 paise or 0.3 per cent at Rs 266.30 per kg with a business turnover of 696 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
