Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. Futures contracts for December delivery gained 0.85% to Rs 278.35 per kg.
New Delhi, Nov 19 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs 2.35 to Rs 278.35 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs 2.35 or 0.85 per cent at Rs 278.35 per kg with a business turnover of 1,151 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
