Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. The December contract traded higher by 0.16% at Rs 287.60 per kg.
New Delhi, Dec 4 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose 45 paise to Rs 287.60 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by 45 paise or 0.16 per cent at Rs 287.60 per kg with a business turnover of 3,143 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
