Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand

New Delhi, Feb 14 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 2.70 to Rs 272.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded higher by Rs 2.70 or 1 per cent at Rs 272.40 per kg with a business turnover of 706 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
