Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand
Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. The March contract traded higher by 0.17 percent at Rs 271.50 per kg.
New Delhi, Feb 18 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose 0.45 paise to Rs 271.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded higher by 0.45 paise or 0.17 per cent at Rs 271.50 per kg with a business turnover of 837 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
