Aluminium Futures Decline on Weak Demand

Aluminium prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to lower demand from consuming industries. The August contract dropped by Rs 1.65 to Rs 218.55 per kg.
New Delhi, Jul 22 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Monday declined Rs 1.65 to Rs 218.55 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August fell Rs 1.65 or 0.75 per cent to Rs 218.55 per kg in 2,771 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
