Aluminium prices fell in the futures market on Tuesday due to weak demand from consuming industries, leading to a decrease in positions held by participants.
New Delhi, Aug 6 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Tuesday declined Rs 1.35 to Rs 209.40 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August fell Rs 1.35 or 0.64 per cent to Rs 209.40 per kg in 4,478 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
