Aluminium prices fell on Thursday due to low demand from consuming industries. The decline was attributed to participants trimming their positions in the futures market.
New Delhi, Aug 8 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday declined 55 paise to Rs 211.35 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August fell 55 paise or 0.26 per cent to Rs 211.35 per kg in 4,202 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
