Aluminium prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced demand from consuming industries. The decline was attributed to participants trimming their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
New Delhi, Aug 6 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Tuesday declined Rs 1.35 to Rs 209.40 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August fell Rs 1.35 or 0.64 per cent to Rs 209.40 per kg in 4,478 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
