Aluminium Futures Drop on Weak Demand
By Rediff Money Desk, New Delhi Aug 28, 2024 13:30
Aluminium prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak demand and reduced positions by participants. The decline was attributed to easing demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Aug 28 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Wednesday declined Rs 2.40 to Rs 231.15 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in September fell Rs 2.40 or 1.03 per cent to Rs 231.15 per kg in 3,076 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
