Aluminium prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak demand from consuming industries, causing participants to reduce their positions.

New Delhi, May 7 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Wednesday declined Rs 2.05 to Rs 229.85 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May fell Rs 2.05 or 0.88 per cent to Rs 229.85 per kg in 5,151 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
