Aluminium prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to lower demand from consuming industries. Participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
New Delhi, May 6 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Monday declined 0.26 per cent to Rs 232.70 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May fell 60 paise or 0.26 per cent to Rs 232.70 per kg in 4,149 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
