Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Hike

Aluminium futures climb on fresh bets at MCX. November contract at Rs 264.20/kg, December at Rs 267.80/kg. Demand from industries supports prices.

New Delhi, Nov 19 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 1.10 to Rs 264.20 per kilogram in the domestic futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in November went up by Rs 1.10, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 264.20 per kilogram, in a business turnover of 1,974 lots.
Similarly, the December contract advanced by Rs 1.05, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 267.80 per kg, in 1,740 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
